Spring Fling Thing
Due to ongoing construction throughout the facility, the 2026 Spring Fling Thing has been cancelled. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and truly appreciate the continued support of our community. Looking ahead to 2027, the Spring Fling Thing: Art Sale & Exhibition will take place on the first weekend of May.

What To Look Forward To In 2027
The fun begins Friday from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Our elevated event kicks off on Friday evening with an 18+ Art Exhibition & Sale! Enjoy a glass of wine by 5Vines, nibble on light charcuterie by Soffritto, be entertained by Keith Andrews and enjoy live music by Jamie of Cool Sax ‘n Keys.
Free family fun continues on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Not only does the Art Exhibit continue, Saturday also includes all things related to Spring! Family fun activities and crafts have been prepared from local specialists who will share their knowledge on exciting topics to help you and your family get your gardens ready for the summer season!
Here’s a list of some amazing local businesses that have joined us in previous years:
- The Giving Garden: Purchase young, healthy, locally grown, heirloom vegetable plants to grow your own produce this summer! All proceeds go towards helping The Giving Garden grow fresh food for those in need and charitable organizations.
- The Buggy Lady will helps us learn how to help our Native Bees thrive.
- Alberta Bats will help us understand why bats are so important in our communities.
- The Calgary Horticultural Society will help us mitigate what drought tolerant plants are perfect for our Calgary yards.
- The Mahogany Garden Club will share the value of planting the right trees. Did you know there is a way for you to get a free tree for your yard?
- Green Calgary will be here with some great ideas! Different ways to collect rain water, information on rain barrel rebates from the City of Calgary, and plantingt activities.
- Need to clean our your garage or basement? Junk Works will be here to help! They believe that not everuthing goes to the landfill and they recycle as much as possible. Chat with them about what your needs are and they'll supply you with their reasonable rates!
- Are you an artist wanting to socialize while creating your masterpiece? The Mahogany Art Guild will also be here to chat about the advantages of joining their free club, who meets on a monthly basis.
- Free face painting by Sublime Me Up! ...and so much more!
This event is open to everyone—residents and non-residents welcome! Book an evening out with some friends, a fun date night, or with fellow residents of the community.
