Indoor Bookings
No decorations may be attached to the ceiling, light fixtures or window blinds. Decorations can be attached to the walls, doors, or windows ONLY with painter’s tape or adhesive putty. No open flame or sparklers are permitted in the facility. Battery operated, flameless candles only. No confetti, glitter, rice, or birdseed (if found, a $300 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file following your event).
No, our catering kitchen is included with the Banquet Hall rental and is for heating and keeping food warm, only.
No, we do not allow inflatables however, you can bring in other ‘soft play’ structures. Set up and tear down of these options must be included in your room rental time. Inflatables are also not an option outdoors as they become a liability should there be inclement weather.
Absolutely. Proper food handling practices need to be followed to ensure the safety of your guests.
Yes! A liquor license needs to be provided and alcohol needs to be served by a Pro-serve Certified member. Liability insurance should also be obtained as you assume the safety and responsibility of your guests. The MHOA will not be responsible.
No, the rental of a room does not give you access to the rest of the facilities. The gymnasium may be rented as part of the Birthday Party Package or separately by Mahogany residents only.
All cancellations 60 days or more prior the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations between 30-59 days will receive a 50% refund if paid in full and no refund will be issued with only a deposit paid. No refund will be issued for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event.
Our round tables are 5’ across, our rectangle tables are 6’ x 2.5’ and both measure 30” high. The chairs are a standard height however, depending on the room that is booked, will depend on the chair style that is assigned to that room.
No, however special arrangements can be made. All requests must be made in writing and Management must pre-approve the request a minimum of two weeks prior to your event date.
No, tableware, flatware, glassware, linens, and chair covers are not provided and must be supplied by the renter. We recommend ‘Special Event Rentals’ 403-235-2211.
No. We are a facility open to Mahogany residents, their guests and program participants. All washrooms remain open to all using our facility.
We require full payment if the total amount is under $500 or 50% of the total amount if over $500 (with a $500 minimum). The remainder of the payment must be received 30 days prior to your event date.
Not at this time. We will provide the correct number of tables and chairs that you have previously arranged. The table will be opened up and the chairs will be stacked. It will be up to you to place them where you would like according to your plan.

No, the setup and clean-up must be included in your booking rental time. You may arrive 10 minutes early to do the walkthrough with our Customer Service Representatives. Durations past your scheduled end time will result in a $50 charge for every 15 minutes.
Outdoor Bookings
Yes! You may use the lake, but the booking member is responsible for everyone in the party group. All regulations and guidelines must be strictly adhered to (no smoking, no alcohol, no glass containers, no bikes, etc.). For a full list of rules, ask the front desk staff for a copy.
The beach, playgrounds, sporting courts, and boat rentals are open to all members but are not bookable and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

- 1 boat per cardholder OR 2 boats per household for pedal boats, rowboats, and two-person crafts
- 2 boats per cardholder for green single person kayaks and paddleboards (4 per household max – for paddle boats only)
There are bathrooms located at the West Beach building and at the Main Beach Club on the bottom floor, through the back of the building. There is no access to change rooms or showers facilities at this time.
The limit is 40 guests per outdoor booking, which includes residents and non-resident guests. The 40-person limit includes the person(s) who have made the booking, as well as children and babies.
Many people will rent the spot for the extended amount of people, to access the beach for family gatherings or for event purposes. As long as everyone is accounted for and is strictly adhering to the regulations and guidelines, the space can be used however desired.
No. BBQ spots are bookable by Mahogany members only.

The BBQ spots do not have any shelter to the areas. You are welcome to bring your own tents as long as they are not staked or stabbed into the ground. Sandbags and other surface weights may be used.
Food deliveries are welcome to be delivered to the beach club however the food must be retrieved from the reception desk. No food couriers will be allowed to freely enter the facility; they must be accompanied by the booking member.

Alcohol is permitted for indoor bookings with a liquor license.
Outdoor booking slots are generally bookable from May long weekend through September long weekend. Due to weather, these dates may vary.
Yes, the BBQ pits are meant for coals only, which are the responsibility of the person booking.
Yes, all guests must be accounted for at an outdoor booking. Members who book with us will have signed a liability waiver stating that they are responsible for all persons they bring in. This is usually limited to 8 guests per household per day, which is why we require a guest list. Guest lists must be submitted a minimum of 72 hours in advance, otherwise your booking is subject to cancellation.
No refunds will be issued for outdoor bookings, but they can be rescheduled. Rescheduling must be done a minimum of 1 week prior to the new date and time. Rain and other weather-related cancellations can be rescheduled within the current season.
Yes, you can bring your own BBQ as long as it will fit on the cement pad. You are welcome to bring your own portable cooking stoves/equipment as long as it is fuelled by propane. Any other types of cookers with other methods of flame or items too large for tables are strictly prohibited.
No. Bouncy castles or inflatable courses are not permitted at the Mahogany Beach Club.
No, animals are not permitted within the Mahogany Beach Club grounds. Service animals are allowed with proper permits.
Based on booking demands, the number of bookable spaces is limited to one slot/spot per household per day and times cannot be adjusted. The times are strictly 9:30am-1pm, 1:30-5pm and 5:30-9pm
Yes, you are required to return the rented space to the state it had been in prior to your event. You are not required to clean up/dispose of the coals; our maintenance staff will happily take care of this in a safe manner.
