A clean, safe community starts with all of us, and that includes our pets.
Mahogany is known for its beautiful parks, pathways, and shared green spaces, and it takes all of us to keep them that way. If you're a dog owner in Mahogany, you're responsible for following both Mahogany HOA guidelines and City of Calgary bylaws when enjoying our community with your pet.
Know the Rules Before You Go
All public spaces and parks in Mahogany are on-leash areas unless clearly designated otherwise, including the Beach Club, wetlands, community walkways, and Central Green.
The only nearby off-leash dog park is located at 52 Street & Auburn Bay Drive SE. Sue Higgins Dog Park is another nearby option outside the community.
With the exception of guide dogs and service animals, pets aren't permitted in MHOA parks or other MHOA-controlled amenity areas, including near schools and playgrounds.

Leave Only Paw Prints
When you're out and about with your dog, it's your responsibility to leave only footprints behind. That means picking up all dog waste, every time, in every park, on every pathway.
Leaving dog waste in our parks and public spaces isn't acceptable. It impacts the enjoyment, cleanliness, and safety of our shared environment for families, children, and other pets.
Let's continue to show pride in our community by doing our part. A clean Mahogany is a shared responsibility. Thank you for helping keep our neighbourhood beautiful. 🐾
