What a celebration!
On September 12, Mahogany Beach Club came alive with rhythm, movement, flavour, creativity, and stories from around the world as our community came together for Mahogany CultureFest 2026.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon such a special celebration of the many cultures, traditions, and experiences that make Mahogany home.
Celebrating Through Performance
Our stage was filled with incredible local talent throughout the afternoon. From Brazilian drumming and Ukrainian dance to traditional East Indian dance and Hawaiian hula, each performance gave our community a chance to experience something new, learn, and celebrate together.
A huge thank you to all of our performers:
- Enlair Academy Ariels for their incredible aerial silk performance
- Samba Swing for bringing the energy with their Brazilian drumming circle
- Vykrutas Ukrainian Dance Society for sharing Ukrainian dance and traditions
- Arnik for their beautiful traditional East Indian dance
- Taraya Middleton of Nalani Dance for their wonderful hula performance and lessons
- Steve Nelson, Rockin' Steve One Man Band for providing the live music that closed out the day
Creativity, Flavour & Local Vendors
Of course, no festival would be complete without great food, art, and local makers! Thank you to all of our artisan vendors for bringing their creativity to CultureFest:

The Stories That Make Our Community
One of the highlights of CultureFest was seeing residents share their own stories through our CultureFest Questionnaire.
The responses displayed on our display board offered a glimpse into the incredible range of backgrounds, traditions, family histories, and experiences represented right here in Mahogany. It was a wonderful reminder that our community is made up of so many different stories, and that sharing those stories helps us learn more about one another.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out, participated, performed, volunteered, visited a vendor, shared a story, cheered from the crowd, or simply spent the afternoon celebrating alongside your neighbours.
CultureFest is about more than one afternoon. It's about creating opportunities to learn from one another, celebrate our differences, and discover the many stories that make Mahogany such a vibrant community.
We can't wait to do it all again!
We're already looking ahead to next year's celebration and would love to have even more members of our community involved.
We're looking for performers, artisan vendors, food trucks, workshop hosts, and volunteers who would like to share their talents, traditions, businesses, or time with the community.
