Hit the trails and experience the excitement of cycling at Mahogany’s Specialized Bike Camp. Designed for riders ages 8–12, this action-packed summer camp helps young cyclists build confidence, improve their biking skills, and enjoy outdoor adventures in a fun, supportive, and safe environment.

Throughout the week, campers will participate in skill development sessions, cycling challenges, group riders, and engaging outdoor activities while learning techniques that help them become stronger and more confident riders. Beyond biking, campers will enjoy beach activities, recreation games, and daily Swim to Survive® water safety training led by certified Lifesaving Society instructors.

Located at the Mahogany Beach Club in southeast Calgary, these Specialized Bike Camps combine active learning, outdoor recreation, and unforgettable summer experiences for young riders of all skill levels

Important Equipment Note: All children registered in this camp must bring their own properly fitted bike and properly fitted helmet each day of riding. For safety and skill development purposes, training wheels are not recommended for this program. Please take the Bike Helmet YES Test to ensure a proper fit before arriving!

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Regular Camp Program:

Camp Highlights

Special Field Trips: Earth Rangers & Canyon Meadows Cinemas

Week 1: Specialized Bike Camp (June 29 – July 3) includes a special field trip to Earth Rangers, where campers will experience hands-on environmental education and learn about wildlife, conservation, and the natural world.

Week 6: Specialized Bike Camp (August 4 – August 7) will enjoy a special field trip to Canyon Meadows Cinemas to relax and watch a movie with their new friends!

Daily Swim to Survive® & Safety

At Mahogany, water safety is an important part of every camp experience. All campers participating in the Specialized Bike Camps will take part in daily Open-Water Swim to Survive® training led by certified Lifesaving Society instructors. Campers will learn essential water safety skills including:

Swimming activities are weather dependent, but are planned to take place daily throughout the week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my child required to bring their own bike?
Yes. All children must bring their own properly fitted bike and helmet each day. Training wheels are not recommended for this camp.

Is Before and After Care included?
Yes! Before Caer (7:30–8:30 AM) and After Care (4:30–5:30 PM) are completely included with your registration.

Will campers participate in swimming?
Yes. Campers take part in daily Swim to Survive® water safety training led by certified Lifesaving Society instructors.

Are there field trips for both weeks available?
Yes. Week 1 includes an exciting day at Earth Rangers, and Week 6 features a dedicated trip to Canyon Meadows Cinemas.
