Direct Report: Landscaping Supervisor
Position Type: Seasonal
Position Status: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Mahogany Beach Club
Objective:
The Mahogany Homeowners Association is seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Seasonal Landscaper to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Landscaping Supervisor, contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of the community’s parks, green spaces, and recreational areas.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform manual landscaping tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grounds Maintenance: Assist in maintaining lawns, tree wells, medians, boulevards, and other landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
- Tree & Shrub Care: Prune and maintain trees and shrubs, clean curbs, and assist in maintaining traffic circles.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and blowers. Perform routine daily inspections and basic upkeep of tools.
- Work Logging & Reporting: Ensure all completed work is logged accurately and report any issues or concerns to the Landscaping Supervisor.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including proper handling of tools and equipment. Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to facility users and community members, answering inquiries and helping to resolve any issues.
- Special Projects: Support various landscaping projects, including rehabilitation projects, xeriscaping, and other environmentally sustainable landscape improvements.
- Lake & Water Management: Assist with lake water testing and water quality management tasks as required.
- Preventative Maintenance & Inventory Management: Conduct basic maintenance checks on emergency fire equipment. Assist in inventory tracking and supply management.
- Seasonal Duties: As needed, support the park maintenance crew with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, sand raking, and general park upkeep.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow landscapers and under the direction of the Landscaping Supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance, plant care, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.
- Equipment Proficiency: Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and machinery, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and work in various weather conditions.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Education: High school diploma preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Work Hours: Typically 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday, with some weekend and evening shifts as required.
- Outdoor Work: Work will be performed primarily outdoors, often in various weather conditions (summer/winter).
- Physical Labor: The role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy materials and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Equipment & Vehicle Use: May be required to operate assigned landscaping equipment and company vehicles.
- Background Check: A vulnerable sector check is required before employment.
Direct Report: Office Manager

Objective:
The Mahogany Homeowners Association is seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Security personnel to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside other team members to provide exceptional security services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a positive and outgoing attitude, a team-oriented mentality, and a willingness to learn. The mobile patrol officer will be responsible for performing a variety of checks to ensure safety of residents and the rules are being followed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all building and room entrances are closed properly on a regular basis;
- Enforce all park rules and procedures with residents, guests and renters;
- Check in with staff regularly;
- Communicate effectively with team members, and management;
- Actively patrol the park and perform random resident checks to ensure park users are residents;
- Provide excellent customer service to all users/visitors to the facility by answering questions, resolve issues and document incidents as required;
- Complete required incident/accident reports on the appropriate forms and submit to the Supervisor;
- Participate in department meetings, initiatives and training activities;
- Act in accordance with federal and provincial legislation as well as corporate and departmental policies and procedures;
- Demonstrate commitment to ensuring a respectful and safe workplace;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma;
- A valid Alberta Security License;

Direct Report: Programs & Events Manager

Objective:
The position of Skatepark Instructor/Host requires the candidate to have an energetic approach, be very comfortable and enjoys working with members of the public, planning, instructing and imparting skateboarding knowledge and skills to program participants. Our Skateboard Instructors will help promote a positive atmosphere and share their passion for skateboarding with those in the community. They will have an outgoing upbeat friendly attitude while confidently implementing and overseeing the skateboarding skills safety and skatepark etiquette and protocol. They will lead and instill one of inclusiveness, respect for all and be welcoming to all riders irrespective of skill and abilities. The instructor is responsible for teaching basic skating skills to children, ages 4-15, plus adults. Instructors must work very well with primary ages and they must have strong interpersonal skills to communicate with the participants’ parents. The Skateboard Instructor will host and function as a role model and leader on site, displaying and encouraging good skateboard etiquette and safety at all times while encouraging a quality skatepark learning experience for participants all while having fun!

Key Responsibilities
- Help design, write, and implement a weekly skateboard program lesson plan for your class age group
- Organize and lead a variety of skill-based tasks that progress to building the skateboard skills of the participant each week
- Create a positive, safe, and fun learning environment to participants while supporting and enhancing their experiences
- Ensure that the site or area is kept clean, organized, safe and free of litter
- Liaises with parents and children on instruction progress and report concerns to the PEM or designate
- Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, and class attendance
- Follow all safety guidelines associated with the skateboard program. This includes, but is not limited to, being responsible for your participant’s safety and their whereabouts at all times
- Welcoming new patrons and familiarizing them with park etiquette, rules and regulations and pointing out key areas of interest
- Promoting and assisting with the planning and organizing of authorized events happening at the skatepark, such as community events, competitions, etc.
- Performing visual inspections to identify potential hazards and dealing with minor maintenance and reporting tasks (e.g. sweeping, tightening screws, etc.)
- Demonstrating safe practices such as enforcing the proper wearing of helmets and safety gear
- Filling out a Log book, Incident Reports, taking statistics and providing First Aid
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Pleasant manner, excellent verbal communication skills
- High level of skateboarding ability
- Very competent in sharing the knowledge of how to ride a skateboard
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public
- Ability to perform basic to complicated skateboarding skills
- First Aid (or willingness to obtain a First Aid certificate)
- National Coaching Certification Program level I minimum required
Working Conditions
- Extended periods of standing, talking, instructing and correct skateboard skill demonstration
